The Dehradun Branch of the Central India Regional Council of the Institute Of Chartered Accountants was formally inaugurated on the 22nd of October 1988 by the then President of the Institute Mr. K.G.Somani .It was set-up to fulfil the need for a forum to represent the collective  interests of the fast growing community of C.A.s & C.A. students in Dehradun. Acting as a bridge between the local members and the Institute with its Head Office at New Delhi, the branch has since then come a long way and has organised a number of activities for the benefit of the members and the students of this region with the constant support  and guidance of the CIRC of ICAI, Kanpur and ICAI, New Delhi.

Land Mark achievements of the branch have been over the years have been:

• Successful holding of Seminars including CPE Seminars and similar programmes for the benefit of members on regular basis and acting as a common platform to enable constant interaction among the members.

• Construction of a futuristic and well equipped two storey building of the Branch.

• Establishment of a centre for holding of C.A. Examinations in Dehradun.

• Establishment of  this Web Site for benefit of members and other visitors with a view to spread awareness about the activities of the branch and serve as a communication channel.

• Successfully holding the SAFA conference in Dehradun in 2001.
