Dehradun Branch was established on 30th April 1988 vide notification dated 23rd May 1988 by the ICAI. The first Managing Committee was nominated by the Institute on 13th October 1988.The Branch was inaugurated by CA K.G. Somani, the then president of ICAI on 22th October 1988.
On April 28, 1997, the Branch bought land located right opposite Income Tax Office for construction of the branch building.In the mid of 1999, the branch got its first website and it became perhaps the first one in CIRC to have its own website.
