Event Detail: Inaugration of Branch Building, Dehradun
The Branch building of the Dehradun Branch of CIRC of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India was inaugurated by Sh. Ashok Chandak, the President of the ICAI in a glittering ceremony held at the Branch building located opposite the Income Tax Office, Subhash Road, Dehradun.Sh. H.C.Pant, CCIT, Sh. R. Bupathy, Vice President of ICAI and Sh. S. Sitaraman, Ex-President and many other eminent personalities, besides members of the public were also present on the occassion. The Programme started with curtain raising by the President, Sh. Ashok Chandak. The students of Jaswant Modern School presented the Ganesh Vandana on the occassion. The Chairman Sh. Verendra Kalra & the Secretary, Sh. Ajay Khattak expressed their gratitude to the dignitaries for sharing the momentous day with the Branch. Thereafter, the Vice-President of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Sh. R. Bupathy, congratulated the Dehradun Branch for the efforts put in by them to put up such a wonderful building. He expressed his views that the Branch would continue the good work and would stand as an example for the other Branches. Sh.H.C.Pant, CCIT of Uttranchal also congratulated the Dehradun Branch and released souveneir to mark the occassion. Later, Sh. Ashok Chandak, President of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, while congratulating the Branch, also expressed his views about the profession of the Chartered Accountancy.In the evening the students, presented a skit "Kissa C.A. Office Ka" in the honour of the President and the Vice President. The reprentative of the students of the Chartered Accountancy course expressed the students' thoughts before the gathering, expressing their views about the future of the profession and the important place, the students occupy in its development and progress.In the end, Sh. Ashok Chandak, President of the ICAI expressed his thoughts and discussed the issues raised by the students. He assured that the institute shall take appropriate steps to help the students in every aspect.
